Odani Motohiko is a Japanese sculptor whose works are delicate and intricate.  He sculpts both large room fixtures and smaller works.  He is originally from Kyoto, but studied at the Tokyo University of Art and Music.

Based out of New York, contemporary Japanese artist Tomokazu Matsuyama's new works show a blend between Japanese and Western culture.  Existing between two cultures can at times make his works confusing, but they are still beautiful.

わたしのあきやすみ！

どようびにうちにかえりました。お姉（big sister）とともだちをみました。日曜日パーティーがありました。かったですね。でも、大きくありませんでした。月曜日にデトロイトにいきました。デトロイトはとてもりっぱです。でも、きれいじゃありません。そして、FLYING LOTUSのコンサートにいきました。とてもおもしろいでした。あきやすみにべんきょうします。でも、あかやすみにべんきょうします。でも、日本語とチェロだけで。すばらしいたべものをたべました。おじいさんのパスタ手が作ら(my grandfather's hand made pasta)をたべました。おじいさんはイタリアじんです。あきやすみはかったでした。

うちにかえりましたか。

FLYING LOTUS!

日本語のポッドキャスト。

It is difficult to find Japanese Podcasts on itunes that we are able to download in the US, but I found a couple that I think are pretty good. 

一番（いちばん）、NHKラジオニュース。

If you type this into itunes you should be able to find it.  It is a free news and politics podcast and they speak slow enough to pick up on some words every now and then.

This is a Japanese comedy podcast, I will let you read more about it on your own if you are interested.  I like the fact that it is a video podcast and that is a decent quality.  He does speak far to fast for me to pick up on anything that he is saying, but it think that it can help with pronunciation.

Motoi Yamamoto

Motoi Yamamoto is a Japanese artist who uses salt to make various structures.  

His work is very interesting and you should look at it if you have a chance!
