Major conflicts arose when Japan purchased the islands せんかく(or Diaoyu in China), the ownership of the islands has been heavily disputed and is causing violence against Japan to rise in China. As anti-Japan protests spread through out China, Japanese shop owners are flying Chinese flags outside of their shops and some are being forced to flee for their safety. Anger in China is rising and the situation is becoming more dangerous for Japanese living in China.
